Intellectual Property Rights and Contracts for Designers and Digital Content Creators

Our partners Ali Mert Cavusoglu and Sultan Balli attended the Digital Content Creators Annual Meeting at the Ataturk Cultural Center in Istanbul on September 16th, 2023, where they delivered a training session centered on "Intellectual Property Rights and Contracts for Designers and Digital Content Creators".

Sultan Balli informed her audience and provided insight about IP rights and how digital content creators can register and manage their portfolios. Her presentation underscored the significance of industrial property rights in the context of digital content creation, particularly with regard to trademark protection and registered design portfolios.

In the second training session, Ali Mert Cavusoglu provided a brief exploration of the framework of copyright protection in Turkish law. During his presentation, he delved into the emerging legal challenges faced by digital artists and content creators such as the proliferation of AI tools, the advent of NFTs, and the evolving landscape of digital contracts.
